Newsletter 11.11.11 Blog Edition

I am sure you will be aware that the 30th November is a day of industrial action for Headteachers and teaching staff. Staff have not yet made a decision whether to follow their union advice or not. We will be making a decision early next week; I would urge you to consider having a contingency plan in case the school is closed.

Please do remember that no children should be in the playground before 8.45am in the mornings.

Next week we will be raising money for Children In Need. On Thursday the School Council will be holding a ‘bake sale’ -children have been encouraged to bake either a sweet or savoury item which they should bring into school in the morning for the sale at 3.15pm. Friday is non uniform day when the children are asked to donate £1 if they would like to join in the ‘Crazy dress’ day. The children are allowed to wear pyjamas (with clothes underneath), inside out or back-to-front clothes, crazy colours or anything silly. They must not wear any face paints, high heeled shoes or make up.

Thank you to all of the pupils who have bought a poppy this week.

Well done to the Learners of the Week, we are very proud of you all.
Our theme for this half term is “Understanding Others”.

Round Table Carnival May 2012
We have been invited to enter a ‘motorised float’ into the Carnival parade on Sunday 20th May 2012. The Rotary Club will pay £100 to any group or school willing to enter a vehicle of some sort. We would like to participate as a school and are looking for a group of keen, creative parents to be in charge of this exciting venture.
